Import Parametric Values

  1. Select Admin > Parametric Types in the Navigation Menu. The Parametric Types tab window displays.
  2. Select the Values tab.
  3. Click on the Parametric [Select] dropdown.
  4. Select the named parametric you want to import value data into from the list.
  5. Click the Excel dropdown in the Ribbon Menu and then click Import.
  6. Navigate to the file you want to import, select the file and click Open. The import process compares the existing parametric value data to the data to be imported and displays the results in the Import tab window. Notice the Import Row check box and Import Status columns for each rate row. The Import Status column is typically set to "Insert."

    Tips:

The parametric value data does not change until you click Import, so you have an opportunity to scan the rows for any potential errors or unexpected content. You can change the Import Row check box setting to exclude rows you don't want to import. Or, cancel the process and make corrections to the file before you import the data.

Notice the Back option in the Import tab window. Clicking Back displays a Mapping tab window. For each value data Required Column, map it to the applicable import File Column from the dropdown. There are only two columns in the Excel file, a variable value (x) and actual (y) value. Once you move to the Mapping tab, you must complete the mapping. Click Next to move back to the Import tab window.

  7. Click Import.
  8. Optional. Close the Parametric Types tab.
